You can find me here now! I upload much more frequently on there.
I've just created a facebook page. I'm still trying to work it. I've uploaded some photos and paintings, soon to upload some music. It's pretty barren right now. But you can still check it out if you'd like!
I'm writing a journal right before work. I must be a glutton for punishment. (Must be getting ready..... but.... I've been gone for a little while it feels.)
.....
I bought a macbook pro for college! I chose the one with 2.50 Ghz. $1,400. Plus all the other things that came with it. So. I'm a little broke right now to say the least. ^^ But the laptop is working wonderfully. And all I need to do now is transfer all 40 or so gb of music from my pc to here - once I buy that external hard drive. Then install all the programs I need.
I'm having fun with the garabeband program on here. I think I'm going to do some recording within the next week that I'm not at work. Add all these synthetic instruments.
Orientation for school was about a week ago. It was. Nice. I'm torn with what I'm feeling for college right now. But I guess this is the right thing to do. They have a really nice art program... and the campus is gorgeous... I just wish it wasn't so expensive.
Anndddd I've started working with oils. I'm excited because I haven't really been uploading anything traditional lately. And traditional is where I started out. So... if the first coat of oil paint ever dries on these pieces, they will be done hopefully soon.
I'm feeling so content and satiated now that I've finished with school. I have the next three months to devote time into what it is that I enjoy and love - and I have a good feeling about it all. You know when you go through something difficult, you tug and drag yourself through it, you hang on by your fingernails and you refuse to give up or throw yourself away - well. I guess I'm in the aftermath; the calm and indulged just in the knowing that all is in the past. And I can move forward from this moment.
I'm picking up more shifts at work. But, it's a nice job. No worries there. More hours = more cash.
I've already started making plans for photo shoots with friends.
And my aunts just bought me some really nice equipment to start recording with. A Sennheiser 835 vocal microphone! Along with the stand and cables for it. That, plus the laptop I'm going to be investing in for college, plus the music programs my friend has, plus the songs I've been working on, equals a completed CD that should be finished by the end of this three months. I'm very excited.
And then on Friday I'm taking my Chemistry final. I received a 100% on the last chapter though, so I'm feeling a little more secure in passing it.
I bought an art journal the other day, and a pack of blank Artist Trading Cards. I've already made about 10 of them. :} I might upload some of them later on this week. It's just been so hectic lately.
I think you should try and make some ATCs. They're ridiculously fun to do. And the only rule they have is the size dimensions (2.5"x3.5").
Here is where you can find out some more details on the ATCs: [link]
AND - check out this really cool band I just found through Sigur Ros: [link]
I will be extremely busy these next few weeks until graduation. I need to pass Chemistry with a C or better to secure my place in college. So, wish me lots of luck!!! I'm going to need it...
.
In other news - I'm beginning to record my album. My friend said he would help me with the mixing process, as he is a sound and technician genius - among other talents and skills he's acquired over the years. ^^ I'm working on getting some of my music on iTunes within the upcoming months. I will definitely keep you all posted in the meantime though.
